Jennifer grew up in Southern California, spent the first 18 years of her marriage in Central Arkansas, and now lives in Southeast Pennsylvania, all of which has lead to a confusing dialect. She’s likely to use “you guys” and “y’all” in the same sentence.
Always one to look for the humor in any circumstance, Jennifer likes to take an otherwise dull subject and turn it into an entertaining and inspirational presentation. Never did her ability to find levity in rough situations come in handier than when she was diagnosed with breast cancer the week after her husband had accepted a new job 1200 miles away. The emotional and physical difficulties of cancer surgery, treatment and side effects were compounded by the long distance separation.
Jen shares her experiences with frank honesty and an amusing perspective, sometimes causing tears and laughter at the same time. She learned many things during her ordeal, not the least of which is that God will provide peace, joy and even laughter in the darkest of places.
She has been speaking for women’s events and moms’ groups for more than a decade. In addition to topics specific to particular requests, she regularly speaks about:
Breast Cancer Education
Being Prepared in a Crisis
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Joy In the Midst of Difficulties
He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.
